CES Election Day

Mrs. Long's class decided to have their very own classroom election. The students wrote and gave speeches as well as made posters as you can see in the pictures. Great job!

On Tuesday, November 8th, the fifth grade enrichment students held a Mock Presidential Election at Cambria Elementary.  They researched and prepared for a month prior to this experience which allowed them to learn about the election process and voting etiquette.  During the event, each grade came to the polling station and took turns voting at voting booths.  The students in kindergarten through second grade cast their votes on paper ballots while the students in third through fifth cast their votes electronically through a Google Form.  The fifth grade enrichment team did an excellent job at making sure the event ran smoothly and were very enthusiastic!  The final decision.......Donald Trump 321 votes and Hillary Clinton 136 votes.
