On Friday, February 3, Mrs. Tracy Spade came in to present to Mr. Wagner’s College Chemistry and Organic Chemistry students, as well as to Mrs. Hoover’s and Mr. Reynold’s STEM students. Mrs. Spade is an RN from Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown. She came to talk to the students about various career opportunities that Conemaugh offers. She talked about how the medical field is such a vast and growing field and the opportunities to pursue a career in the medical field are growing. Some of the fields of study that Mrs. Spade explained that are offered through Conemaugh include nursing, histology, radiology, EMT and EMS, medical technician, and surgical technologist. This presentation will definitely benefit the students by allowing them to see the vast possibilities and opportunities that are available to them in the medical field. Mr. Wagner, Mrs. Hoover, Mr. Reynolds and their students would like to thank Mrs. Dixon for setting up the presentation and Mrs. McDermott and Mr. Paronish for allowing the presentation to happen.
