The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is inviting the public to choose the “Fan Favorite” of the District 9 “Paint the Plow” contest by “liking” their favorite in the contest photo albums on the PennDOT Facebook page.
Voting begins today at noon and ends at noon on Monday, October 23. The photo in each album with the most “likes” will win the contest for their county.
All high schools across the six-county region were invited to promote winter safety by painting department plows that were delivered to the schools. This year there were 35 schools painting 37 plows.
The plows will be mounted to a plow truck in the areas of the respective school districts for the upcoming winter season.
