On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, Mr. Dennis Simmers hosted a visit and tour for a group of 20 STEM students at the Colver Power Project. The students learned about the technology involved in burning waste coal for the production of electricity. The students were able to tour the facility and see things first hand. The students also learned a lot about the positive impacts on the environment in our area because these waste coal piles are being cleaned up and put to good use. It was a very informative and exciting trip. Thank you to Mr. Simmers and all the folks at the Colver Power Project for being such great hosts!
